Understand Copilot credits

Learn how questions use credits, when your allowance renews and what to do if you reach a limit.

Copilot credits pay for your team's Copilot questions. They are separate from the AI credits used by the AI agent to answer clients.

How a question uses credits

On Fellix's AI keys, a question uses one credit per 8,000 tokens read and written, multiplied by the model's weight and rounded up. It costs at least the weight of the first answering model. Image descriptions and summaries made during the question count too. If calls use different models, each call's tokens use that model's weight.

Advanced 2
Frontier 10

With Copilot included or added, questions answered entirely on your own AI key use no Copilot credits. Your provider may bill you for its use.

Monthly allowance and preview

Your Copilot allowance renews each billing month, including on yearly plans. The renewal date is shown in the dashboard. Pack credits add to that monthly allowance. See Buy Copilot and credit packs for the amounts.

Without Copilot, the organization can use a lifetime preview of 20 credits. It never renews. Every preview question costs at least one credit on any key: Fellix-key usage is token-based, and a question entirely on your own key costs one. Availability and role settings still apply.

Check usage or get more credits

See remaining credits in the sidebar meter, usage by member under Settings → Copilot, and the allowance in Settings → Billing.

When monthly credits run out, the panel says they are exhausted and shows the reset date. The panel shows an Owner one way to continue. From Settings → Billing an Owner can also buy a pack or change plan, and from Settings → Integrations → AI providers connect an eligible own AI key. Other members can ask an Owner. When the preview is used up, an Owner can add Copilot or choose an eligible plan.

Other limits

Each member can take up to 20 Copilot actions in five minutes and 200 in a day. Asking, retrying, editing, approving and declining all count. The panel shows when you can try again. A member can also have at most two questions running across conversations; wait for an answer before continuing in the same conversation.

Fellix may temporarily pause Copilot on Fellix's AI keys across the service when its daily spending limit is reached. The panel says the pause lasts until 00:00 UTC and that no credits were used for the refused question. An Owner can connect an eligible own AI key to continue; if that key fails during the pause, Copilot does not switch to Fellix's keys.
