Connect Fellix to ChatGPT

Add Fellix to ChatGPT, sign in, choose an organization and what ChatGPT may do, then ask it about your clients, conversations and appointments.

Connect Fellix to ChatGPT and you can work in Fellix from a chat. ChatGPT can look up a client, summarise a conversation, list your appointments, send a reply or move a booking, whenever you ask it to.

ChatGPT acts as you. It sees only what you see in Fellix and can do only what your role allows, within the permissions you approve when you connect. Any member of an organization can connect it for themselves.

Watch the four-minute demo first:

Before you start

  • A ChatGPT plan that can add your own MCP server. Which plans can is OpenAI's decision. If you do not see Add custom MCP server in step 1, your plan or workspace does not allow it.
  • Your Fellix sign-in. You will sign in to Fellix once, in the browser, while connecting.
  • The server address: https://api.fellix.ai/mcp. You can also copy it in Fellix: account menu → Account Settings → Connected apps → Copy address.

Step 1: Add Fellix in ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and choose Add → Add custom MCP server.
  2. Fill in the form:
    • Name: Fellix
    • Description (optional): for example Inbox, clients and bookings
    • Connection: keep Server URL and enter https://api.fellix.ai/mcp
    • Authentication: OAuth. Leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are.
  3. Read ChatGPT's notice about custom servers, tick I understand and want to continue, then choose Create as a plugin.

Step 2: Sign in to Fellix and choose what ChatGPT may do

ChatGPT now sends you to Fellix. Sign in if you are asked to. You see ChatGPT wants to connect to your Fellix account.

  1. Organization: if you belong to more than one, choose the one ChatGPT should work in. Only organizations where your role can grant something are listed.
  2. Permissions: everything your role holds is ticked. Untick what ChatGPT should not have. For example, keep only Read for a connection that may look but never change anything. At least one permission must stay ticked.

Fellix's consent page: the organization first, then the permissions your role can grant.

  1. Choose Authorize.

Authorize finishes the connection. It lasts up to 90 days.

Step 3: Use it

  1. Back in ChatGPT, Fellix is in your installed plugins. In a chat, pick Fellix (or mention it) and ask your question.

What to ask

The screenshots below come from a sample organization, Fellix Review. Its clients and appointments are invented.

"Which Fellix organization am I connected to, and as whom?" A good first question: it confirms the organization, your name and your role.

ChatGPT answers: You're connected to Fellix Review as Review Team, with the owner role
ChatGPT confirms the organization and the person it acts as.

"Find the client Maria Lopez and summarise her last conversation."

ChatGPT summarises Maria Lopez's latest web chat: she moved her colour appointment and asked for a gloss treatment
A conversation summary, read from the client's web chat.

"What are my next five appointments in Fellix?" ChatGPT shows times in your own time zone and says so. Here the organization's calendar is in Los Angeles and the reader is in Madrid.

ChatGPT lists five confirmed appointments in a table with date, time, client and service
The next five appointments, with the time zone stated.

"Reply to Maria Lopez's web chat: "Thanks Maria, see you at your next appointment."" Give the exact words and the channel. The message goes out under your name, like a reply you typed in Fellix.

ChatGPT confirms the message was sent to Maria Lopez's web chat
A reply sent into the client's web chat.

"Move Maria Lopez's next appointment one day later, same time."

ChatGPT confirms Maria Lopez's colour refresh and gloss moved to Wednesday 11 November, same time
An appointment moved by one day. It stays confirmed.

Fellix also offers three ready-made prompts, where your assistant shows them:

  • Inbox briefing: what moved in the inbox lately and what needs a person, without changing anything.
  • Follow up warm leads: open hot and warm leads that have gone quiet, each with a drafted follow-up. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
  • Today's appointments: the day's appointments in the organization's time zone, with what still needs confirming.

What it will not do

  • Take payments. No Fellix tool charges a card or takes money.

ChatGPT replies that the Fellix connection has no card-charging tool and no payment was made
Asked to charge a card, ChatGPT says no tool can, and nothing happens.

  • Use a channel your organization has not connected. A WhatsApp message needs a connected WhatsApp number.

ChatGPT replies that Fellix Review has no active WhatsApp channel, so no message was sent
No WhatsApp channel, so no message is sent.

  • Go beyond your role. If your role cannot do something in Fellix, ChatGPT cannot do it either.
  • Delete things or change settings. No tool deletes clients, conversations or messages, and none changes settings, members, channels or billing.

Good to know

  • Under your name. Everything ChatGPT sends or changes is recorded as done by you.
  • Asking before acting. Tools that send or change something are marked as write actions. Whether ChatGPT asks you before running one follows ChatGPT's own settings. When your prompt already contains the exact text, it may go ahead without asking again.
  • How long it lasts. A connection lasts up to 90 days. It ends sooner if it goes unused for 30 days. Then connect again.
  • One organization per connection. To switch, disconnect and connect again, choosing the other organization.
  • Limit. You can have up to 10 connected apps in each organization.

Disconnect ChatGPT

  1. In Fellix, open the account menu → Account Settings → Connected apps.
  2. On the ChatGPT row, choose Disconnect and confirm. It stops working at once.

Disconnect ChatGPT? It stops working immediately, including anything it is doing right now. It can be connected again later. Cancel and Disconnect buttons
Disconnecting takes effect immediately.

If you only remove the plugin in ChatGPT, also disconnect it in Fellix to be sure the access has ended. An owner of your organization can also disconnect anyone's apps; see Manage connected AI assistants.

Troubleshooting

What you see What to do
No Add custom MCP server in ChatGPT Your ChatGPT plan or workspace does not allow custom servers. Check with your ChatGPT administrator.
Your organization is not in the list Your role there cannot grant any permission. Ask an owner of that organization to check your role.
"Your role cannot grant anything in any of your organizations, so there is nothing to connect." The same, for all your organizations. Ask an owner.
"You already have 10 connected apps in this organization. Disconnect one under Account Settings → Connected apps and try again." Disconnect one you no longer use, then connect again.
"This authorization request is not valid" Nothing was granted. Go back to ChatGPT and start the connection again.
"That authorization could not be completed. Try again." Choose Authorize again. If it repeats, start again from ChatGPT.
ChatGPT says the connection is no longer valid It expired or was disconnected. Connect again from ChatGPT.
ChatGPT says the credential does not have a permission (scope) You unticked it while connecting. Disconnect, connect again and leave that permission ticked.
"Your role in this organization cannot do this in Fellix, so an assistant acting as you cannot either. An owner can change your role." The action needs a role you do not have. Ask an owner.
