Import your data from Intercom

Connect Intercom, check the scan and import your contacts, companies and conversation history into Fellix. Fellix only reads from Intercom.

Connect your Intercom workspace to Fellix, scan it, and bring your contacts, companies and conversation history over. Fellix only reads from Intercom.

The Fellix app for Intercom copies your Intercom data into your Fellix organization: contacts and leads (as clients), companies, data attributes, tags, teammates and teams, and conversation history with notes and attachments. You choose what to bring over, and you can run the import again later to pick up changes.

Fellix never writes to Intercom. No messages, notes, tags or contacts are created or changed there, so you can keep using Intercom while you move.

Before you start

  • An owner or manager role in Fellix. Other roles see the card but cannot start a migration.
  • An Intercom admin who can install apps. You approve Fellix's read access in Intercom once, while connecting.
  • Your workspace's region: US, EU or Australia. Choose US if you are not sure.

Step 1: Connect Intercom

  1. In Fellix, open Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Migrate from Intercom card, choose Connect.
  3. Pick your Region and choose Connect with Intercom.
  4. Intercom asks you to allow Fellix to read your workspace. Approve it, and you return to Fellix.

Note:
If the card says Connecting with Intercom is not available yet, write to [email protected] and we will move your data with you.

Step 2: Check the scan

Fellix scans the workspace right away and shows Scan results: how many teammates, tags, data attributes, companies, clients, conversations, help centres and articles it found, plus anything that has no equivalent in Fellix. Choose Rescan at any time to count again.

Prefer to talk it through? Choose Continue in Copilot. Copilot reads the same scan, explains what can move and asks for your approval before it starts anything.

Step 3: Import

  1. Under Object types, keep the types you want to bring over.
  2. Optional: set Only since to bring only clients and companies created or updated after a date.
  3. Choose Start import. Progress updates on the same page, and you can leave it running.

Every imported conversation is marked Imported from Intercom and is read-only history. Replies go in a new conversation, when the client writes in or you contact them on a connected channel.

Run the import again whenever you like (after a Rescan). It updates records that changed and never creates duplicates. Each run is listed under Import runs with its details and any issues.

Disconnect

Choose Disconnect on the same page. Fellix deletes the stored access, cancels running imports and removes the Fellix app from your Intercom workspace. Everything already imported, including reports, stays in Fellix.

If you remove the app in Intercom instead (Settings → Apps), Fellix sees it and marks the connection as disconnected.

What is not imported yet

  • Help centre articles and tickets are counted in the scan but not copied yet. Article import is coming next.
  • Office hours, Messenger appearance and Fin guidance are not copied. Set them up in Fellix by hand; the scan lists them so nothing is forgotten.
